– is a screening test used in the laboratory in order to determine a possible bleeding disorder or blood clot; to help investigate recurrent miscarriages, for monitoring of unfractionated heparin anticoagulant therapy, and this test is also indicated as part of an evaluation before surgery or other invasive procedures.
