Waived tests

refers to the laboratory testing that employs specific methods designated under CLIA of the FDA as waived. This kind of testing is designated by the CLIA as simple tests that carry the low risk for an incorrect result. The waived test include tests listed in the CLIA regulations, tests cleared by the FDA for home use, and tests approved for waiver by the FDA, using the CLIA criteria.
